Town Hall: Call to Order

I recently sent out a handful of emails and DM's to some industry folks, Pixel Lincoln backers, and Twitter friends asking if they might want to contribute to the Town Hall. Based on the quizzical nature of the responses, I realized that I should have better explained what the Town Hall actually is.

I've been fortunate enough to work with Jason on Re-Election, and in our brainstorming sessions while boxing up Storyteller Cards rewards we hit on a common view of the future of the meat-wielding President. Ideally, any expansion that gets added to the game increases the customizable nature of the PL experience.
  • The base game already allows players to create levels with varying difficulties, fill it with their favorite characters, and any employ sort of theme they might like.
  • In addition, players can make their own Secret Item - House Rule card using the blank card that was included.
  • Backers of both the Pixel Lincoln: The Deckbuilding Game and the Pixel Lincoln Bicycle Cards campaigns have purchased custom character cards, featuring a pixelated version of themselves (or in many cases, their cat).
  • Now in Re-Election, we are allowing backers to create one item card that will be in the final version of the game.
We think there is real potential to foster a great pixel-meat-wielding community, so we assembled the Town Hall to collect all of the cool content that gets created.

Here's some of the things you can expect in the Town Hall:

Player-Created Levels to Try at Home

Creations with the Secret Item: "House Rule"

Examples of Custom Character Cards

If you'd like to submit anything, from a fully realized level to an idea you had while eating a farmer burger (you know, a cheeseburger with a fried egg on it?), send us an email. Optimally, we'll have a few new posts a week!

This session of the Town Hall is now adjourned.
Our next meeting will focus on Jason's custom level that I've dubbed "Ford's Theater" for it's near-impossible difficulty.
